AESOP'S FABLE: THE SHEEP AND THE PIG MORAL STORY

AESOP'S FABLES:

"THE SHEEP AND THE PIG"

Aesop's Fable (Aesopica), a collection of fables credited to Aesop who lived in Ancient Greek. It is very popular literature and a wold's best known collection of morality tales.

One day, a shepherd found a pig in the meadow where his sheep was pastured. He captured the pig and hurried to the butcher in the market. The pig squeals loudly as the shepherd do this. Very much amazed, the sheep followed the shepherd and asked the pig why it squeals like that. The sheep told the pig that when the shepherd catch and carry them, they don't make a terrible noise like the pig did. The pig answered, " When he catches you, he is only after your wool. But he wants my bacon!"

MORAL: IT IS EASY TO BE BRAVE WHEN THERE IS NO DANGER

Here, the sheep only lose its lambskin while the pig is going to lose its life. That is why it is easy for the sheep to say that the pig is making such a big deal out of the situation. Little did the sheep know that they are not different at all aspect. The shepherd may carry them the same way, but the shepherd is after a different thing. Clearly, the sheep has no right to provoke the pig by telling that it is terribly overreacting. However, one cannot fully blame the pig since the sheep doesn't fully understand the situation. Hence, one should not judge or say something without ample knowledge of the situation. We should not jump into conclusion and speak carelessly to other people. One should always be sensitive and careful of his/her choice of word.
